GIM Robotics in Espoo, Finland, is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer, Perception to advance our camera and lidar perception stack. You will develop robust perception algorithms, integrate ML models, and ensure real-time performance on constrained hardware.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of software development and designing complex architectures from scratch.
• MSc or higher in robotics, computer science, or electrical engineering.
• Hands-on perception with camera and/or 3D lidar: detection, tracking, or mapping.
• Experience with traditional algorithms and ML-based perception models.
• Expert-level C++ with build-to-deploy tooling (CMake, Conan, Colcon).
• Expert-level Python with NumPy, SciPy and PyTorch.
• ROS2 in real robot systems and real-time software under tight budgets.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Git, Docker and Linux.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in small teams.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Robotics Engineer, Perception, build perception software enabling customers' machines to see and understand their environment.
• Work on camera and 3D lidar perception: detection, classification, tracking, free space, and traversability analysis.
• Handle sensor calibration, fusion, and evaluation tooling to ensure reliability.
• Combine classical algorithms and ML models for each customer use case.
• Take on a technical lead role to shape the perception architecture.
