Job summary

Spectacular AI is looking for a skilled engineer to implement and optimize real-time navigation software for ARM platforms in their Espoo office. This role involves integrating the software with flight controller hardware and sensor data, enhancing testing processes, and improving deployment pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have expert-level C++ skills, experience in embedded systems, and proficiency in Python and other tools. Candidates must be ready to relocate to the Helsinki region for full-time, in-person work.

Job description

Together with our engineering team, you will implement and optimize real-time navigation software for resource-constrained ARM platforms, integrating it with flight controller hardware, camera pipelines, and sensor data. Additionally, you will help improve our testing, continuous integration, build systems, and SDK packaging, as well as streamline our overall release and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in C++.
• Experience in embedded software and ARM platforms.
• Good Python programming skills and proficiency with Git, Linux, and CMake.
• Fluency in English.
• Readiness to relocate to the Helsinki region, Finland for full-time, in-person work in our Espoo office.

Ideal Extras

• A completed MSc or higher degree in a relevant STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics).
• Linux server administration and company IT systems.
• Experience with libraries such as Eigen, Ceres, GTSAM, g2o, or OpenCV.
• Embedded camera systems, sensors, or electronic/mechanical engineering.

Domain knowledge: Aviation, UAVs, Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
