Job summary

UPM-Kymmene Oyj is seeking a (Senior) Manager to lead Group Accounting and Reporting in Group Finance. You will own group consolidation, drive IFRS reporting, and guide internal controls and policies.

The role is located in Helsinki/Tampere, Finland, and reports to the Director of Group Accounting and Reporting. You will manage IFRS-related inquiries, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to strategic projects while leveraging SAP and consolidation tools to ensure high-quality financial

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance or economics.
  • 4+ years of experience in group consolidation and IFRS.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and Finnish GAAP.
  • Ability to manage projects and develop processes independently.
  • Proactive mindset with analytical problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in Finnish and English; other languages an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP and consolidation systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in the group consolidation and reporting process and preparation of consolidated financial statements and monthly, interim and annual reports.
  • Assess and identify solutions for IFRS-related ad-hoc requests and guide Financial Control teams in accounting and reporting topics.
  • Interpret and analyze implications of accounting standards (IFRS and Finnish GAAP) and other regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of financial policies and processes as well as updating the group accounting manual.
  • Follow up on compliance concerning internal controls.
  • Take a leading role in the development of consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to strategic projects.
  • Act as a key user in the group’s consolidation system.

What you will do
  • Take a leading role in the group consolidation and reporting process and preparation of consolidated financial statements and monthly, interim and annual reports

Who you are
  • You have at least a master’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance or economics
  • You have 4+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a similar position with responsibilities in group consolidation and IFRS, or proven track record in other financial accounting areas, such as auditing
  • You have solid knowledge and practical experience of accounting standards (IFRS and Finnish GAAP)
  • You have the ability to manage projects and develop processes independently
  • You have a proactive mindset and analytical problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • You are fluent in Finnish and English, other language skills are considered an advantage
  • Experience with SAP and consolidation systems is considered an advantage
