Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions in Tampere, Finland, seeks Senior or Lead Layout Engineers to start in August for a 6‑month assignment, with likely extension. You will perform mechanical layout and 3D design of STATCOM systems, coordinate interfaces and clearances, and prepare assembly and installation drawings.

The role requires hands-on Revit and SolidWorks skills, substations/FACTS/STATCOM experience or similar power projects, a B.Sc./M.Sc. in mechanical engineering, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with Revit and SolidWorks.
• Experience in substations, FACTS, STATCOM, HVDC, or similar power infrastructure projects.
• 3D modelling, equipment arrangement, and installation drawings.
• Understanding interfaces and clearances for foundations and site installation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with electrical, civil, system, supplier, and site teams.
