Job summary

Sanoma Learning in Helsinki is seeking a Finance Specialist, Accounting & Reporting to strengthen our Nordic & Group Accounting Services team. You will oversee month-end close, statutory reporting, and tax filings, coordinating with auditors and stakeholders across the business.

The role requires strong GAAP and tax knowledge, fluency in English and Finnish, and experience with SAP S/4HANA. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position located at Sanoma HQ in Central Helsinki.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or similar.
• Five+ years of experience in accounting or audit in an international company.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and tax.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English as well as Finnish.
• Meritorious Basic IFRS knowledge.
• Experience from SAP, preferably S4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close process and ensure timely, high-quality reporting.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and tax filings.
• Liaise with auditors and coordinate local tax audits.
• Collaborate with business partners and finance colleagues on accounting matters.
• Drive continuous improvements in local accounting, tax and reporting processes.
• Participate in finance development projects including new finance systems roll-out.
