Job summary

Sanoma Learning is seeking a Finance Specialist in Helsinki to join the Nordic & Group Accounting Services team. You will handle statutory and tax reporting across several legal entities, drive the month-end close, ensure accurate financial statements, and liaise with auditors.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, enhance processes, and contribute to finance system rollouts, with a hybrid work model in a global, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or similar.
• Five+ years of experience in accounting or audit in an international company.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and tax.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English as well as Finnish.
• Basic IFRS knowledge (meritorious).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for statutory and tax reporting for multiple entities within Sanoma Group.
• Manage monthly close process, ensure quality and timely reporting in HFM.
• Prepare financial statements and tax filings and coordinate audits with external/internal auditors.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other finance colleagues to provide local accounting and tax expertise.
• Continuously improve local accounting, tax and reporting processes and participate in finance development projects.
