Job summary

KONE in Espoo, Finland is seeking a Senior / Expert Full Stack Cloud SW Developer for the Digital Services Experience Development team. You will build cloud-native digital services and user experiences that empower technicians in the field, enabling smoother workflows and reliable service operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on full stack developer with web and backend skills; Kotlin knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a hands-on Full Stack Developer with web and backend skills.
• Frontend proficiency with React/Angular/Next.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Backend experience (Node.js or Kotlin) and good API design understanding.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end digital services for 24/7 Connected Services.
• Build scalable web applications using modern frontend frameworks.
• Develop and evolve backend services and APIs with enterprise integrations.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and service integrations with production mindset.
• Contribute to cloud architecture ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, reliable releases.
• Collaborate across product, UX, backend, and platform teams to deliver solutions.

Senior / Expert Full Stack Cloud SW Developer, Digital Services Experience Development

Join our Digital Services, SW organization in Espoo, Finland, where we build and operate platforms and solutions across IoT Platform, Digital Services, Analytics Platform, and the Technician Experience Platform. We work in a hybrid model so there’s possibility to work remotely couple of days a week.

In this role, you will build cloud-native digital services and user experiences that empower technicians in the field—enabling smoother workflows, reliable experiences, and efficient service operations. The ideal profile is a full stack developer with strong web + backend engineering skills, where Kotlin knowledge is an advantage.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end digital services for the 24/7 Connected Services
• Build scalable web applications using modern frontend frameworks and best practices
• Develop and evolve backend services and APIs integrating with connected services and enterprise systems
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and service integrations with a production-grade mindset
• Contribute to cloud architecture and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, efficient, and reliable
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent and reliable releases
• Collaborate across product, UX, backend, and platform teams to deliver impactful solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer (web + backend)
• Frontend experience with React / Angular / Next.js
• Strong skills in TypeScript / JavaScript
• Backend development experience (e.g., Node.js, Kotlin or similar technologies) and solid understanding of API design
• Experience with database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab or Github
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and production workloads
• Understanding of secure coding and responsive design
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Appreciated

• Kotlin knowledge, especially for backend development
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud)
• Exposure to cloud-native services and architectures
