Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Senior Engineer, Mechanical Engineering for the Port Solutions Technology Center in Hyvinkää. You will join a global order engineering team, delivering and developing mechanical products for Port Solutions’ business lines, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and customers’ teams.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical engineering, a degree in the field, English fluency, and willingness to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of mechanical engineering experience with AutoCAD, NX or similar program.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering.
• Understanding of mechanical design, drawings, welding, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter is a plus.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Executing engineering tasks, including design of heavy and light steel structures and selection of standard and commercial components.
• Ensuring design quality and on-time completion of the design work.
• Leading product development/maintenance tasks, including assigning them, following up, and reporting progress to all stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with local and Konecranes requirements.
• Working in close cooperation with business lines and project teams to ensure smooth progress of works.
• Supporting manufacturing and assembly when needed.
• Developing our ways of working with NX and acting as a key user.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated person to join our mechanical engineering team in PS QHY Tech Center as Senior Engineer, Mechanical Engineering. In this role you will work on delivery and product development projects for Port Solutions’ business lines. You will become a part of a global order engineering team and will work with our experienced and dedicated professionals. You will also communicate and co-operate with colleagues from other units within our company, our subcontractors and customers’ engineering departments.

Your key responsibilities

• Executing engineering tasks, including design of heavy and light steel structures and selection of standard and commercial components
• Ensuring design quality and on-time completion of the design work
• Leading of product development/maintenance tasks, including assigning them, following up, and reporting progress to all stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with local and Konecranes requirements

Qualifications

What should you bring?

• Over 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering with AutoCAD, NX or similar program
• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering
• Understanding of mechanical design, drawings, welding, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with industry specifications and experience with Teamcenter is a plus
• Fluency in English

Occasional travel is required.

Additional Information

This is a full-time permanent position located in Hyvinkää. Possibility for hybrid work, average 2-3 days in our office in Hyvinkää.

Please note that relocation support is not available for this position, we will prioritise locally based candidates.
