Job summary

SPX in Porvoo, Finland is seeking a hardware engineer for embedded systems. You will design electronics, create schematics and layouts, generate PCB manufacturing files and test prototypes through the full development cycle.

The role requires 5+ years of hardware design experience, a Tech degree (MSc or BSc) in electronics or related field, fluency in English, and hands-on experience with Altium Designer. Collaboration with systems and fw/sw teams is essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of hardware design experience for embedded systems.
Degree: MSc or BSc in electronics, automation, electrical engineering or related field.
Proficient with Altium Designer; familiarity with PADS is a plus.
Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Follow safe work practices and maintain a safety-first culture.
Advise Systems Engineer and Engineering Manager on design issues affecting software development.
Research, design, document and test new hardware designs.
Develop existing designs by analysis and modification as needed.
Create technical specifications and test plans.
Collaborate with systems, test, project managers and fw/sw engineers.
Update engineering processes and participate in improvement activities.
Perform additional duties as directed.
