Job summary

Konecranes in Hyvinkää, Finland, seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our electrical engineering Technology support team. You will design electrical systems for equipment, including VFDs, LV distribution, PLCs, and create wiring diagrams, BOMs, and layout drawings in collaboration with lead engineers and suppliers.

This hybrid role involves basic electrical calculations, documentation for manufacturing, and ensuring data is ready for production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical designing with design tools such as E3 or Eplan or AutoCAD.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical or automation engineering.
• Experience with international delivery projects.
• Basic knowledge of inverters/VF drives and/or PLC.
• Experience with TeamCenter or equal PLM tools is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, Finnish or other language skills are considered as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make basic electrical calculations, power supply, drive selection, cable sizing, etc.
• Create electrical documentation for manufacturing and final customer documentation.
• Ensure manufacturing has all project data needed to manufacture power and control systems.
• Collaborate with project coordination, Business Lines and manufacturing during the project.
• Support manufacturing in technical questions.
• Tools used: Zuken E3 engineering tool, Siemens TeamCenter, SAP, ERMS.

Job Description

Technology, BU Quay is searching for Senior Electrical Design Engineer to joinelectrical engineering team and support the projects.

You will be part of our Electrical engineering Technology support team and responsibleto make electrical design for equipment (including VFD system, LV distribution and auxiliaries, PLC system with fieldbus-based communications, electric diagrams, parts list, cable list, and layout drawings).

You will work in close cooperation with lead engineers, mechanical engineering, suppliers, supervisors and Technology Core teams.

Your key responsibilities are:

• Making basic electrical calculation, power supply, drive selection, cable sizing, etc.
• Creating electrical documentation for manufacturing and final customer documentation.
• Taking care that manufacturing has all project related data needed to manufacture power and control systems according to specification.
• Working in closely with project coordination team, Business Lines and manufacturing during the project.
• Supporting manufacturing in technical questions.
• Tools used: Zuken E3 engineering tool, Siemens TeamCenter, SAP, ERMS.
