Job summary

Nordea in Helsinki, Finland is seeking a Senior IT DevOps specialist with Snowflake experience to join the Trading Data Warehouse & BI team. You will own Snowflake operations, automate deployments, and ensure reliable data delivery across ingestion, transformation and consumption.

You'll build reusable automation, monitor systems, and collaborate with data engineers, tech leads and stakeholders. A strong automation mindset and willingness to use AI for efficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Proven Snowflake operations experience with architecture, security, and access control.
• SQL/database design with performance tuning and query optimization in Snowflake.
• Strong Python skills for automation, tooling, and operational utilities.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Git, and Ansible.
• Understanding of data pipelines, warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT.
• Experience in monitoring, incident handling, and creating runbooks.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaboration.
• 4+ years in DevOps/platform/data engineering roles with automation focus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and manage Snowflake environment with security and access controls.
• Automate deployment, backups, data replication and incident handling.
