Job summary

ICEYE in Espoo, Finland is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, operate, and evolve core platform components like Kubernetes, ingress, service mesh, and secrets management, across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will build infrastructure modules with Terraform for AWS and on‑prem, define observability standards, partner with product teams, and drive automation to improve reliability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering on production systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes with cluster, networking & lifecycle management.
• Solid AWS fundamentals incl. networking, IAM, compute & storage.
• IaC experience using Terraform or similar tools.
• Observability experience with metrics, logs, traces and alerts.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for tooling and automation.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Good English communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and evolve core platform components including Kubernetes, ingress, service mesh, and secrets management
• Build and maintain reusable infrastructure modules using Terraform across AWS and on-prem environments
• Define and implement observability standards, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting
• Partner with product teams to guide platform adoption and enable scalable, platform-aligned architectures
• Automate platform lifecycle processes including provisioning, upgrades, and scaling
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and security through continuous iteration
• Support and mentor engineers on best practices in Kubernetes, networking, identity, and observability
• Reduce operational overhead through tooling, automation, and improved platform abstractions
