Vuono Group is seeking a Senior Data Architect in Helsinki to design and implement scalable data architectures. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and data scientists, translating complex challenges into practical solutions while supporting ML/AI workloads.
This role offers the opportunity to influence technical decisions and develop modern data architectures. The monthly salary is approximately 5000–7000€ +, and additional perks include employee share programs and extensive healthcare benefits.
Do you want to design and build the foundation that turns data into real business impact?
Vuono Group is looking for a senior data engineering and data architecture expert to join our growing team in Helsinki. We are a process AI company. We help Nordic organisations across the private and public sector create superior business processes and measurable impact through data and AI. You’d be joining a team of kind, technically brilliant, and business‑minded people who care as much about great work as they do about life outside it.
As a senior data architect at Vuono Group, you work at the intersection of business needs and data infrastructure. Translating complex organisational challenges into scalable architectures, and staying close enough to the implementation to know whether they actually hold up in production.
You’ll work alongside business stakeholders, data scientists, and developers. You listen, challenge assumptions, and make architecture decisions that hold up over time. You’ll work on varied projects across different industries designing and implementing data pipelines, guiding long‑term and transformational data architecture development.
Beyond client work, you’ll help shape how we approach data engineering and data architectures as a practice, acting as a trusted partner and mentor to your peers as we grow.
Hands‑on experience building production data pipelines
Strong understanding of cloud‑native data architectures across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Solid programming skills in Python and SQL
Previous consulting experience
Experience designing and implementing modern data architectures: lakehouses, data warehouses, data mesh, or event‑driven systems
Understanding of how data architectures support ML/AI workloads: feature stores, vector databases, RAG pipelines
Ability to act as a trusted advisor for clients on platform and architecture choices — Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and similar
Experience with modern data pipeline tooling such as dbt, Apache Kafka, or Airflow
Analytical mindset and problem‑solving skills
Fluent communication and presentation skills in both Finnish and English
MSc in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
Last but not least, a kind colleague who thrives in a flat, “no fluff” team. We’re tech agnostic and humble. Focused on what actually works
In a growing consultancy at the forefront of AI and data, things move fast and no two days look the same. If you’re driven by business impact and hungry to keep learning, you’ll fit right in.
We’ll discuss the specific responsibilities and focus areas of the role based on your experience, skills, and interests. Depending on your level of experience and responsibility, the monthly base salary for this role is approximately 5000‑7000€ +.
We are building the best work environment for data, AI and business processes professionals. To get there, we invest in the well‑being and work‑life balance as well as the professional development of our people. We operate on trust and transparency rather than titles, fostering a high‑autonomy, growth‑oriented environment where collaboration, impact, and everyone’s unique thoughts and ideas are valued.
In addition to the usual perks, such as work tools of your choice and extensive healthcare benefits, we also offer our employees the opportunity to invest in our rapidly growing company via an employee share program.
At Vuono Group, you’ll collaborate with Nordic clients on a range of challenging digital projects. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, architecture, and how solutions are built.
