Job summary

UPM is seeking a Manager, Business Control to lead profitability analytics and cost visibility for Next Generation Renewables Operations. The role can be located in Tampere or Helsinki, Finland, reporting to the Director, Business Control.

You will develop processes, support investment decisions, and drive performance improvements across industrial biorefineries in Finland and Germany. Requirements include 5+ years in business controlling, ERP (S/4HANA) experience, and strong financial modelling

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business controlling in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proactive, motivated and able to develop processes and tools.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Experience supporting operational decision-making.
• Strong experience in product costing and financial modelling.
• Hands-on ERP experience with S/4HANA and performance tools (PowerPoint, Excel).
• Fluent in English; Finnish and German are assets.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational profitability with cost visibility and analytics.
• Develop and improve business control processes, reports and tools.
• Partner with refinery management on investments and development decisions.
• Forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning for refinery operations.
• Strengthen internal controls in a complex industrial setting.
