Job summary

Virta Ltd in Helsinki is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Pricing & Finance Services team to build the financial core that governs tariffs, settlements, and invoicing across Europe’s fastest-growing EV charging platform.

You will design and implement backend services with TypeScript/NestJS (and PHP in parts of the platform), emphasize correctness, testing, and maintainability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue and auditable transactions.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience with production services and scalable design.
• Strong TypeScript/NestJS, SQL, and data modeling skills.
• Ability to own major technical decisions and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction across pricing, tariffs, settlements and invoicing services.
• Build end-to-end pricing, tariff logic, settlement and invoicing flows.
• Ensure correctness, auditability, and idempotency in financial systems.
• Define quality standards and drive testing, reviews, and releases.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and pair programming.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and other teams to keep financials coherent.
