Job summary

Evotym, an international fintech, seeks an experienced MLRO to lead AML/CTF compliance for an EMI operating across the EU from Helsinki in a hybrid setup.

You will oversee transaction monitoring, suspicious activity investigations, and regulatory reporting, working with senior management and regulators to strengthen the financial crime framework. This is a high-impact role offering growth opportunities and exposure to cross-border compliance challenges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AML, Compliance or Financial Crime experience in fintech or payments.
• Deep knowledge of EU AML/CTF requirements and FIN-FSA expectations.
• Experience building, implementing and overseeing AML/CTF frameworks and controls.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, investigations and escalation processes.
• Knowledge of KYC/CDD/EDD, sanctions, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead AML/CTF compliance for a licensed EMI operating across the EU.
• Oversee suspicious activity monitoring and investigations.
• Maintain the financial crime control framework per FIN-FSA requirements.
• Develop and implement AML policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits; report to management and regulators.
• Provide training to staff on AML compliance and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of the compliance program.
