Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Espoo, Finland, to own and advance the internal agentic AI system within the Operations domain. You’ll design, build and operate tooling, data pipelines, and monitoring to support reliable production deployments.

The role sits at the crossroads of software engineering, DevOps, and MLOps, with a focus on practical agentic AI capable of evolving toward on‑prem deployments.

Qualifications

• Versatile, hands‑on software engineering background across backend languages and tech.
• Track record building and owning an agentic AI system or comparable AI tool end‑to‑end.
• Solid DevOps foundation: infra, pipelines, and production tooling.
• Strong grounding in observability; use of metrics, logs, and traces in production.
• Experience in MLOps or data engineering, integrating AI systems with data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the team's internal agentic AI system, including analysis, detection and prevention, and drive adoption across engineering.
• Identify where agentic workflows can improve Operations beyond the flagship agent.
• Build infrastructure, tooling and operational discipline (AIOps, data pipelines, monitoring) for reliable production runs.
• Provide a forward‑looking view of AI agents, shaping the roadmap and preparing for on‑prem/locally hosted models.
