Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Solid experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS).
• Knowledge of VAT, taxation and statutory reporting.
• Experience with SAP.
• Fluent Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced accounting professional with solid expertise in financial accounting and a mindset for continuous improvement?We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join Valmet Automotive's Finance team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad accounting and reporting role in an international environment. You will have a key role in ensuring reliable financial information while helping us improve finance processes and ways of working.

You will be part of a collaborative Finance team where responsibilities span financial accounting, tax reporting, finance processes, and reporting activities. Your role

In this position, your primary focus will be on ensuring high-quality accounting and statutory reporting for Valmet Automotive Oyj.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• General ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Monthly and year-end financial closings and financial statement preparation (FAS)
• Participate in IFRS reporting to support group reporting requirements
• Fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting
• VAT, taxation, statutory and authority reporting
• Develop accounting, reporting and internal control processes and maintain related documentation

To Succeed In This Role, You Bring

• A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Solid experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS)
• Good knowledge of taxation, VAT and fixed asset accounting
• Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills
• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English
• Knowledge of IFRS and group finance processes is considered an advantage

Location & Work Flexibility:

Our main operations are based in Uusikaupunki. However, you'll also have the option to work from our office premises in Turku and Helsinki, with additional flexibility for remote work.
