Job summary

Aalto University Shop in Otaniemi, Espoo is seeking an energetic Sales Assistant to join our student employee team. You will help provide a welcoming customer experience, assist customers in-store and online, and support with merchandising and order processing.

This part-time, fixed-term role runs until 31 December 2027 with 30–60 hours per month. Ideal for bachelor's or master's students at Aalto who enjoy customer service and teamwork. Start date 04 January 2027.

Job description

Aalto University is recruiting its own bachelor's and master's degree students to join the student employees team at Communications Services. Student employees work as student ambassadors in the university through a variety of roles, such as in student marketing, leading campus tours, representing Aalto at events and working with retail and branded merchandise.

We are currently looking for 4-6 students interested in a shop-based role, working as sales assistants and helping provide a welcoming, high-quality customer experience at the Aalto University Shop.

Sales Assistant to Aalto University Shop in Otaniemi, Espoo

We are looking for an energetic and outgoing person to join our shop team and help develop our retail culture and experience. You will be part of a team that serves and sells to both external and internal customers in our store.

As a Sales Assistant at the Aalto University Shop, you will:

• Provide excellent customer service and experience in store, by email and phone
• Assist customers in finding what they need
• Ensure store aesthetics and visual merchandising are up to standard
• Restock the store
• Process web shop orders
• Represent Aalto University
• Deliver welcoming services and help visitors find what they need
