Job Title: Robotics Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robotic systems for integration with directed energy technologies.
  • Program, simulate, and test robotic systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to develop integrated solutions.
  • Develop algorithms for autonomous operation, navigation, and control of robotic platforms.
  • Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting to refine and enhance robotic systems.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and performance criteria.
  • Support the development and operation of the 70-acre test and demonstration facility in Helsinki.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in robotics design and development, preferably in defense, aerospace, or high-tech industries.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Strong understanding of control systems, kinematics, and robotic algorithms.
  • Experience with sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications in robotics is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Finnish is an advantage.
