Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior ML Engineer focused on Email Security for a remote role based in Finland. You will train and deploy transformer-based spam and phishing detectors, build a Go-based inference engine, and optimize detection accuracy and latency in real-world hosting environments.

You will own end-to-end ML projects, manage data corpora, and collaborate with partner engineers to ship robust, scalable security solutions while maintaining clear technical documentation and reviews.

Qualifications

• Production detection systems with meaningful false-positive impact.
• End-to-end ML ownership from data to release.
• Hands-on transformer training with PyTorch.
• Strong Linux, shell scripting and Python skills.
• English writing proficiency for technical docs.
• Ability to balance detection effectiveness with false positives.

Responsibilities

• Train, evaluate, and release spam/phishing models with corpora and thresholds.
• Develop a production email-filtering engine in Go and inference services.
• Investigate incidents and improve rules or models.
• Optimize detection vs. false positives and latency.
• Maintain data tooling and training infrastructure.
• Review code and model changes for releases.
