Job summary

Emerald Clinical Trials is expanding its European footprint and seeking experienced Clinical Project Managers to lead global and regional trials. This is a pipelining opportunity, with home-based work across Europe, focusing on renal, oncology, cardiometabolic & autoimmune areas.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in clinical research, 2+ years in CRO project management, strong client engagement, and familiarity with ICH-GCP and European regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of clinical research experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience within a CRO environment.
• Experience managing global or regional studies.
• Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with project budgets and financial oversight.
• Excellent working knowledge of ICH-GCP and European regulatory requirements.
• Experience in renal/nephrology trials preferred.
• Experience across Phase I-IV trials advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for assigned clinical projects from start-up through close-out.
• Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain study timelines, budgets, forecasts, and project plans.
• Lead study teams to ensure delivery against quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
• Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee site activation, enrolment performance, monitoring activities, and study execution.
• Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and SOPs.
• Manage project finances and vendor performance.
• Support proposal development, business development activities, and bid defense meetings.
• Mentor and support Clinical Trial Managers, CRAs, and other project team members.
