Job summary

ABB is seeking an R2R PMO Lead to own the Record to Report processes and oversee a global project portfolio. You will drive governance, plan and deliver a transformation roadmap, and ensure benefits realization. The role reports to the Global Process Owner and works with Finance, IS, and stakeholders worldwide.

Location is Europe with Zurich preferred; international travel is required. Ideal candidates have a finance or engineering background and strong PMO expertise with Agile/Lean experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading complex global projects and transformation programs in Finance or Record to Report.
• Solid project portfolio management, governance, planning, and budgeting experience.
• Experience with Agile, Lean and Lean Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills with strong data analysis.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Mgr-Gen.Accounting __ Record to Report (R2R) Global Process Owner team owns taxonomy of core accounting and reporting processes and leads process design to realize a vision of standardized, compliant, and digitalized accounting and reporting processes at ABB. As R2R PMO Lead, you will oversee the R2R project portfolio, manage portfolio governance, deploy project management best practices and support transformation initiatives that advance process maturity and business value. Reporting to the Global Process Owner Record to Report, you will work closely with Finance & Accounting Operations, Finance Process Data & Solutions, Information Systems, and business stakeholders globally.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the R2R PMO function, including project portfolio management and governance.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of the R2R transformation roadmap.
• Ensure effective portfolio prioritization, proactive resource planning, and project tracking.
• Ensure business case development, investment monitoring, and benefits realization.
• Coach project managers and promote project management best practices across the organization.
• Facilitate governance forums, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Coordinate process communications in collaboration with project teams.
• Act as Project Manager for strategic initiatives as required.

Your Background

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience leading complex global projects and transformation programs, within Finance or Record to Report.
• Solid project portfolio management, governance, planning, and budgeting experience.
• Experience with Agile, Lean and/or Lean Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial
• Effective at managing stakeholder relationships, communicating with clarity, and gaining support for initiatives.
• Highly developed presentation skills and a solid ability to analyze information, supported by advanced PowerPoint knowledge. Experience in Ai use cases in project management is helpful.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
