Job summary

QMill in Espoo, Finland, is seeking a quantum algorithm developer to design and implement efficient algorithms for the NISQ era. You will work with other algorithm developers to push the boundaries of quantum computing, in a senior or associate capacity.

Applicants should have strong background in mathematics, physics or computer science, with 5+ years in algorithm development, and a track record of leading small teams is a plus. Fluent English and proactive collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years (senior) of experience in algorithm development either in academia or industry.
  • Experience in quantum algorithm development is a plus.
  • At least 2 years (senior) of experience in leading projects of small teams is a plus.
  • Strong systematic thinking and adherence to good software development practices.
  • Knowledge of the basics of quantum computing and quantum algorithms.
  • Background in mathematics, physics or computer science.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, physics or mathematics. Ph.D. is a plus.

QMill is developing new quantum algorithms that could solve specific problems better than any classical solution. The problems can relate to optimization, simulation and machine learning for example. We are now looking for a quantum algorithm developer to join our quantum algorithm team in Espoo, Finland. Your key goals are to design and develop efficient quantum algorithms for NISQ era. You cooperate with other algorithm developers. We can consider applicants to a senior or associate position.
