Job summary

VTT is seeking a Quality Process Specialist to join the Micronova fab in Espoo, Finland. You will own the quality processes and governance for the Micronova fab and help drive environmental and quality KPIs across operations.

The role requires a technical degree, strong knowledge of quality standards, experience in semiconductor processing, and hands-on collaboration with maintenance, process engineering, and data experts. Fluent English is mandatory; Finnish is a plus.

Qualifications

• University or University of Applied Sciences degree in technical/scientific field.
• Knowledge and experience of quality standards.
• Background and work experience in semiconductor processing.
• Knowledge and experience in problem solving methods.
• Teamworking skills and strong communication capabilities.
• Hands-on attitude and drive to implement new processes.
• Fluent English mandatory; Finnish is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality processes and governance in the Micronova fab.
• Maintain and develop the Quality Handbook for cleanroom operations, including document and change management.
• Define environmental targets, monitor KPIs, and prepare the annual environmental report.
• Own the training set for quality system.
• Facilitate and support quality related audits at the fab.
• Lead the quality and environmental training for VTT personnel in the cleanroom.
• Facilitate continuous improvement activities.
• Own, report and develop quality and environmental data, metrics and KPIs.

About Fab:

The semiconductor waferfablocatedinMicronovafacilitates the whole chain of research,developmentand small-volume production. The total area of the cleanroom is 2600 m2, and there is an installed equipment base of 200 processing and measurement tools, enabling fabrication of devices for silicon photonics, radio, MEMS,quantumand hyperspectral applications.Micronovais a vibrant ecosystem, where more than twenty companies have access to thefabfor the fabrication of

their own products, and Aalto Universityoperatesindependently in part of the facility.Thefaboperatesat 200mm wafersizeand its operations are ISO9001 certified. In addition to the existingtoolbase,numerousinvestmentsintonew equipment are currently in progress to enhance the capabilities. New business models, growing demands and VTT’s involvement in EU Chips JU Pilot Line activities drive a change in operational model. As aQuality ProcessSpecialist,youwill:

• Ownthe quality processes and governance in theMicronovafab
• Maintaining and continuously developing the Quality Handbook for cleanroom operations, including document and change management.
• Define environmental targets,monitorkey performance indicators, and prepare the annual environmental report
• Ownthetraining set for qualitysystem
• Facilitateand support quality related audits to thefab
• Leading the quality and environmental training for VTT personnel using the cleanroom
• Facilitatecontinuous improvement activities
• Own,report and developquality and environmental data, metrics and KPIs

You will work closely within thefabcore operations unit, which consists ofhighly qualifiedMaintenance and Process Engineering and data experts, cleanroom operators, andmanufacturing process qualityexperts. Further key stakeholders include research teams and external companies thatutilizetheMicronovacleanrooms.
