Job summary

STERIS Life Sciences Tuusula is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to create and modernize our quality control processes. The role focuses on hands-on development of in-process QC for manufacturing and assembly, with emphasis on digitalization and standardization to boost efficiency and reduce manual documentation.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree and +5 years in QC/QA within an industrial setting, with strong communication in Finnish and English and the ability to collaborate

Responsibilities

• Establish modern and world-class manufacturing quality control procedures for manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Develop in-process Quality Control for all manufacturing and assembly processes with systematic QC and process development approaches.
• Digitalize and standardize QC procedures to improve efficiency and reduce manual documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and act as a change agent driving the change.
• Handle quality control activities in pressure vessel manufacturing including inspections and documentation.

STERIS Life Sciences in Tuusula has over 90 years of experience in designing and manufacturing demanding custom process equipment mainly for the pharmaceutical sector, with most products destined for export. The facility employs about 160 professionals in project management, design, quality control, and manufacturing.

STERIS Life Sciences in Tuusula is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to create and modernize our quality control processes, also focusing on technical tasks and the development, standardization, and digitalization of QC procedures to improve efficiency and reduce manual documentation.

What's Involved

The position involves the establishing of modern and world-class manufacturing quality control procedures for our manufacturing and assembly processes. This contains for example the hands-on development of in-process Quality Control for all manufacturing and assembly processes through systematic QC and process development approaches, including digitalization and standardization. This requires strong collaboration and acting as change agent with internal stakeholders driving the change.

Duties also include quality control activities in pressure vessel manufacturing such as managing inspections and documentation in compliance with pressure vessel standards.

Education Degree

Required Experience

• +5 years of experience in QC or QA roles within an industrial environment
• Ability to work independently in an expert role and implement development initiatives.
• Experience or strong motivation to develop, standardize, and digitalize QC processes.
• Understanding of regulated environments
• Good communication skills in Finnish and English, and ability to collaborate across production, design, and other stakeholder

Preferred Experience

• Lean and manufacturing quality experience
• Manufacturing process development experience
• Use of Quality tools and methodologies
• Proven track record of carrying out positive change
• Welding / pressure vessel manufacturing knowledge preferred
