Job description

Are you motivated by keeping materials moving, solving supply challenges and working closely with suppliers?

In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring material availability and reliable supply chain execution across Tanas operations.

Your responsibilities:

As a Purchaser, you are responsible for day-to-day operational purchasing. You ensure that materials and components are ordered, confirmed and delivered according to business needs, supplier agreements and production requirements.

You create, maintain and follow up purchase orders based on material demand, purchase requisitions, stock requirements and agreed supplier terms. You actively monitor supplier confirmations, delivery schedules and open orders, and work proactively to secure timely deliveries.

You also maintain accurate purchasing information in our ERP system and support the resolution of discrepancies between invoices, receipts and purchase orders.

You communicate regularly with suppliers to follow order status, delivery schedules, shortages, and possible changes. When needed, you coordinate corrective actions, identify delivery risks and elevate critical shortages, delays or supplier performance issues to the relevant stakeholders.

You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in operations, production, logistics, finance and other relevant functions, as well as with external suppliers. Through your work, you help ensure that information flows smoothly and operations can run reliably across the organization.

What we expect from you:

We are looking for someone with relevant education in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may also provide a strong foundation for succeeding in the role.

You have previous experience in purchasing, supply chain coordination, logistics, production planning or a similar operational role. You understand order-to-delivery processes and have basic commercial knowledge of prices, lead times and delivery terms.

Experience in ERP systems is required, and previous experience with NetSuite is considered a strong advantage. Experience in heavy machinery, industrial equipment, manufacturing or a similar operational environment is strongly preferred.

You work systematically and accurately, but you are also able to react quickly and prioritize when urgent material needs or delivery challenges arise. You communicate confidently with suppliers, take ownership of open issues and approach problems with a practical and solution-oriented mindset.

Success in this role also requires strong cooperation skills and the ability to work effectively with different functions and stakeholders. Fluency in written and spoken Finnish and English is required.

What we offer:

You will join a professional and collaborative Operations team where your work has a direct impact on material availability, operational continuity and the reliability of our global supply chain.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your purchasing and supply chain expertise in an international technology company. You will work with a broad supplier network and collaborate across functions, giving you a comprehensive view of Tanas operations and supply chain.

Our working culture is down-to-earth and pragmatic, with a strong focus on openness, cooperation and getting things done together. At Tana, you will contribute to solutions that improve efficiency in waste management and support a more sustainable future.

If you are ready to take on an important role in operational purchasing and help us build a reliable, responsive supply chain, we would love to hear from you!

Location: Preferably Jyväskylä, other locations negotiable.
