Job summary

IKEA Oy is seeking a skilled purchaser to join our Procurement organization in Finland. The role covers Finland and Norway and offers an exciting international environment within IKEA's culture and values.

You will build relationships with business owners, drive sourcing plans, lead negotiations, and ensure supplier performance and compliance with IWAY and the IKEA Code of Conduct. This position rewards collaboration and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Finnish and Swedish.
• Indirect procurement and supplier management experience.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid knowledge of sourcing practices, processes and tools; legal knowledge related to procurement and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with business owners to align sourcing plans, drive performance, and deliver results.
• Execute sourcing projects throughout Source-to-Pay using SAP Ariba, ensuring a strategic procurement approach.
• Lead negotiations to optimize costs and supplier performance and create efficient end-user/invoicing solutions.
• Drive supplier management and performance while ensuring IWAY and IKEA Code of Conduct compliance.
• Monitor local supplier markets and provide insights on sourcing opportunities, market developments, and trends.
• Collaborate across functions and markets as one integrated team.
• Implement and communicate global procurement strategies and category plans within assigned markets.
• Deliver value-adding and sustainable procurement solutions meeting business needs.

Who you are

We are looking for a skilled and business-minded purchaser to join our Procurement organization. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to sourcing and supplier management in a dynamic international environment. This role will work with all types of procurement categories and will cover both Finland and Norway. The position will be based in Finland.

• Good understanding of the IKEA business model, strategic landscape, and ways of working
• A strong connection to IKEA culture, values, and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Finnish and Swedish.
• Indirect procurement experience Experience in supplier management and development
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Solid knowledge of sourcing and procurement practices, processes, and tools
• Experience working with project management methods and processes
• Good legal knowledge related to procurement and contracts
• Strong financial and commercial understanding
• Knowledge of cost drivers and value creation opportunities
• Experience with SAP Ariba Source-to-Pay processes is considered an advantage

• Continuously monitor local supplier markets and provide insights on sourcing opportunities, market developments, and trends
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across functions and markets as one integrated team
• Implement and communicate global procurement strategies, category plans, and strategic priorities within assigned markets and categories
• Deliver value-adding and sustainable procurement solutions that meet business and customer needs
