Job summary

Tekniq is seeking skilled professionals to join our growing team and contribute to power system projects that ensure safety and reliability of electrical networks. You will work on protection and control systems for substations, with duties spanning commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and technical collaboration with customers and project teams.

Depending on background, opportunities may include engineering design work and technical consulting.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (B.Sc., M.Sc. or equivalent)
• Experience in substation commissioning within power generation, transmission, distribution, or industrial environments
• Strong understanding of protection and control systems and relay protection principles
• Good communication skills in English
• Finnish or Swedish language skills are considered an advantage
• Willingness to travel if you choose to participate in projects requiring site presence
• Experience with protection relay systems from vendors such as ABB, Siemens, GE, Schneider Electric, or similar is beneficial

We are looking for skilled professionals to join our growing team and contribute to a wide variety of power system projects. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and availability of electrical networks. Your work will support critical infrastructure that keeps industries running and communities powered.

Most of our projects are located in Finland. For those interested in international assignments, there are also opportunities to participate in projects abroad, although international travel is entirely optional.

What will you do?

Your work will focus on protection and control systems for substations, commissioning activities, and technical problem-solving. Typical responsibilities include:

Depending on your background and interests, the role may also include technical consulting, engineering design work, and participation in the development of new solutions.
