Job summary

Amiko Oy is seeking an experienced project manager to lead steel construction projects for our client, Rautarakenne E. Kauppinen Oy. You will be part of a three-person team, collaborating closely with the CEO and driving projects from start to finish.

The role requires cost accounting, procurement proficiency, sharp reading of drawings, strong IT skills, and a proactive, flexible approach. A driver's license and own car are required; training in construction/mechanical engineering is acceptable

Qualifications

• Few years of experience as a project manager or similar role.
• Experience in steel construction or construction industry.
• Ability to lead projects independently from start to finish.
• Good cost calculation and procurement skills.
• Excellent ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage steel construction projects end-to-end from planning to delivery.
• Handle cost and bid calculations and coordinate procurement.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead steel construction projects from start to finish for our client Rautarakenne E. Kauppinen Oy. The role involves being part of a three-person project team and working closely with the CEO. The company specializes in steel contracting for industrial and public sector buildings, delivering from fabrication to installation with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and long-lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities include managing projects end-to-end, cost and bid calculations, procurement and material deliveries coordination, supervision of fabrication and on-site installations, schedule and cost tracking, invoicing, and client/partner communication.

The ideal candidate will take full responsibility for projects, work independently, and have experience in steel construction or the construction industry. Proficiency in cost accounting and procurement, excellent reading of drawings, strong IT skills, proactive and flexible problem-solving attitude, and a driving license with own car are required. Training background could be in construction or mechanical engineering, but substantial practical experience in similar roles is equally accepted.
