Job summary

AFRY is seeking a Project Manager for its Process Industries division in Finland to oversee engineering and project management on large EPCM or detail engineering projects. The role involves leading diverse teams and managing financials, scheduling, and change control under AFRY guidelines.

The position is based in Vantaa with a hybrid work model and potential work across other offices; Finland and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master level technical degree.
• 10+ years experience in multidiscipline detail engineering and/or EPCM projects.
• Safety oriented attitude and leadership skills.
• Fluent Finnish and English communication.

We are looking for a PROJECT MANAGER to our Process Industries divisionto work in various project management and engineering management tasks in large EPCM or Detail Engineering projects.

Your tasks include:

• Engineering and project management in different phases of industrial projects.
• Leading project team including different engineering disciplines, area managers and subconsultants.
• Project management tasks such as financial, scheduling, communication, and change management and follow-up according to AFRY project management guidelines.

Your main location will be in Vantaa but working at AFRY's other offices is also possible. AFRY supports a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

In order to succeed in this role, you have:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech.) or similar degree.
• 10+ years of experiencein multidiscipline Detail Engineering and/or EPCM projects.
• Safety oriented attitude.
• Excellent co-operation, leadership and communications skills.
• Ability to lead large, multidisciplinary and global teams and solve complex conflict situations.
• Knowledge of the different engineering disciplines and understanding of multidisciplinary work requirements.
• Understanding of project and engineering management and project controls tools and practices
• Project Managers also participate in Sales and Development, so we appreciate sales and entrepreneurial attitude and possibility to travel in Finland and abroad.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.

You stand out if you have experience in industry projects such as in mining and metals or in the chemical process industry. Experience in working in a start-up or new technology environment is considered an advantage.
