Job summary

AFRY Finland is seeking a highly capable Full Stack Developer to join the Industry Division Project Delivery Tools team. You will help develop, maintain, and support AFRY’s internal engineering tools, integrations, and digital solutions while working in a flexible hybrid model across Finland locations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT, security, and multiple engineering teams, using Azure DevOps/Jira, GitLab, and modern CI/CD practices to drive scalable, secure solutions and leverage

Qualifications

• Broad experience across software development modalities in international environments.
• Strong SDLC and Agile delivery understanding.
• Cloud platforms experience, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM-driven development approaches and modern collaboration tools.
• Understanding of plant engineering tools, workflows and digital engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, infrastructure, and data/AI specialists.
• Prepare and manage technical and functional requirements and documentation.
• Participate in backlog management, prioritization, risk management, and reporting via Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliant and secure solution delivery.
• Promote Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted ways of working.

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to work together with AFRY Finland Industry Division Project Delivery Tools team and to further develop, maintain, and support AFRY’s internally developed engineering tools, integrations, and digital solutions.

Your primary place of work can be any AFRY Finland location. AFRY supports a flexible hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboration in cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, infrastructure, and data/AI specialists
• Prepare and manage technical and functional requirements and documentation
• Participating in backlog management, prioritization, risk management, and transparent reporting through Azure DevOps
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliant and secure solution delivery
• Promote modern engineering practices including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted ways of working (like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code)
• Identify opportunities and contribute to improving efficiency, scalability, innovation, and collaboration across the engineering tools landscape

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a broad range of software development modalities in cross-functional and international environments
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodologies
• Solid technical background enabling effective communication with engineering and IT teams
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of system integrations, APIs, enterprise applications, and application architecture
• Experience with Azure DevOps/Jira, GitLab, CI/CD, and modern development practices
• Familiarity with AI/LLM-driven development approaches and modern collaboration tools
• Understanding of plant engineering tools, workflows, and digital engineering environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills and a consultive mindset
