Job summary

DayOne seeks an experienced Project Manager (Electrical) to lead electrical engineering packages for mission-critical data center projects. You will oversee HV/LV power distribution, UPS, switchgear, generators, and safety compliance on-site, coordinating with design, construction, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical Engineering, strong PM experience in critical environments, and solid English communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong background and in-depth knowledge of similar project business and electrical systems in mission-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English; Finnish is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with high integrity and collaborative working style.
  • Willingness to travel and be on-site as required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using PM tools.
  • Ensure adherence to electrical engineering best practices, codes, safety standards, and client guidelines.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure quality, safety, and productivity on site.
  • Track project costs, approve invoices, and manage change orders.
  • Conduct regular site visits, status meetings, and coordinate testing and commissioning.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accurate (drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, reports).
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve electrical issues and propose improvements.
  • Guarantee compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

What you’ll do

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager (Electrical) to lead and deliver electrical engineering packages for mission-critical data center projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge overseeing HV/LV power distribution, UPS systems, switchgrear, generators, and electrical safety compliance.

  • Collaborating with internal teams (design, construction, operations) and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, vendors) to ensure project alignment.
  • Overseeing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools.
  • Ensuring adherence to electrical engineering best practices, local codes, safety standards and client-specific guidelines.
  • Managing subcontractors and ensuring quality, safety, and productivity on site.
  • Tracking project costs, approving invoices, and managing change orders.
  • Conducting regular site visits, project status meetings, and coordinating testing and commissioning activities.
  • Ensuring documentation is complete and accurate, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project reports.
  • Providing technical expertise in resolving electrical-related issues and propose improvements.
  • Guaranteeing compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong background and in-depth knowledge of similar project business and electrical systems in mission-critical environments.

  • Knowledge of project management tools PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English, Finnish is considered an asset.
