Job summary

Parapex Talent is recruiting a Project Director to lead multiple data centre builds across Finland. You’ll be the senior on-site construction lead, based in Helsinki and guiding every contractor and design team from inception through completion.

The role offers permanent employment with visa sponsorship and relocation support. You’ll report to senior leadership and help shape how the Finnish programme scales within a 36-campus global portfolio.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership of large, complex construction projects, ideally in data centres; other sectors considered
• Directing contractors and consultancies with accountability for programme, cost and quality
• Confident engaging senior stakeholders and international teams
• Readiness to be based on site in Finland
• Data centre delivery experience with an operator, hyperscaler, developer, PMC or general contractor
• A degree in engineering, construction management or project management
• PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent qualification

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large-scale, complex data centre projects from early scoping through construction and handover
• Oversee and direct all general contractor, project management and design consultancy teams
• Own programme, cost and quality outcomes, and report progress to senior leadership

THE OPPORTUNITY

A global data centre operator is building out a pipeline of projects across Finland and is hiring several Project Directors to lead them. Finland is part of a 36-campus portfolio spanning Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America.

The business is internally funded and owner-led. Decisions are made quickly, and projects don't stall waiting on financing. People also move up. In many businesses senior hires sit in the same seat for years. This one is growing fast enough to offer real, visible progression.

THE ROLE

You'll be the senior most construction lead on your project, the person every general contractor and consultancy team answers to. You'll be based in Helsinki and on site across Finnish projects, taking campuses from inception through to completion.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Senior leadership of large, complex construction projects, ideally in data centres. Close mission-critical sectors such as pharma, semiconductor or advanced manufacturing will also be considered
• A track record of directing contractors and consultancies, with overall accountability for programme, cost and quality
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and international teams
• Readiness to be based on site in Finland

USEFUL, NOT ESSENTIAL

• Data centre delivery experience with an operator, hyperscaler, developer, PMC or general contractor
• A degree in engineering, construction management or project management
• PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent qualification

Finnish language is not required.
