Job summary

Lapin hyvinvointialue invites a vocational support worker to join the Unit of Promoting Participation in Social Services in the Eastern Service Area. At Lapin hyvinvointialue, in the Unit of Promoting Participation in Social Services, a vocational support worker position is open. The position is located in the Eastern Service Area. The support work is organized as a supportive action within community-based social welfare. Your role as a professional support worker is to support an adult client's day-to-day management and overall functional capacity as well as independent living. Behind the need for support there may be neuropsychiatric challenges, mental health and/or substance use difficulties, and challenges in daily life management or social functioning. The work is mobile, performed in the client's environment and networks. Working hours fall between 8:00 and 20:00. Your duties may also include small-group and/or individual guidance related to wellbeing letters or other tasks.

What does it take to work in this role?
  • Eligibility requires a suitable secondary vocational degree. If eligible applicants are lacking, the position can temporarily be filled for up to one year by a person studying a suitable field.

Terms of service follow the Social Welfare Act. The position includes a 6-month trial period. We follow vaccination protection requirements in line with the Act and Health Security law. According to the Sámi Language Act §14, knowledge of Sámi is considered an exceptional merit for the role. When filling the position, we will primarily consider employees under layoff notices from Lapin well-being region if they meet the eligibility criteria.
