Job summary
AFRY is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Chemicals & Biorefining, Mining & Metals process engineering team. The role is based in Helsinki metropolitan area or Oulu with a hybrid working model.
You will be responsible for process engineering in your design area, drafting flow- and PI-diagrams, sizing equipment, performing simulations, and producing design documentation. The position requires an MSc in Metallurgy or related field, 0–3 years of experience in process design, and proficiency in
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Metallurgy or similar education.
- 0-3 years of experience in process design.
- Experience in AutoCAD and HSC Sim.
- Experience projects within the mining and metals industry.
- Safety-conscious mindset.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English. Finnish/Swedish an advantage.
- Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for process engineering in your own design area.
- Draft flow- and PI-diagrams.
- Size process equipment.
- Perform process simulations.
- Develop process balances.
- Produce other relevant process design documentation.
- Develop your personal skills and participate in collaborative internal development projects.
