Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in Helsinki, Finland, is seeking a Power System Analyst to join our Business Development team. You will contribute to shaping the energy transition by combining power system modelling with market insights to identify opportunities and create value propositions.

Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a quantitative mindset.
Recent graduate or near graduation in a quantitative field with interest in power systems.
Basic understanding of data analytics and coding; English fluency required.
Familiarity with market analysis and modelling tools is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Actively engage in market development and decarbonization activities using Plexos, Python, and Excel-based tools.
Conduct energy market and country analyses to support projects and initiatives.
Contribute to value proposition development, feasibility analyses, and advanced analysis tools.
Perform techno-commercial analyses to support the sales organization.
Present results to internal and external stakeholders in meetings and seminars.
Develop and maintain power system models and feasibility calculation tools.
Advance process-based system modelling with data storage, analytics and visualization.
