University of Jyväskylä in Jyväskylä, Finland, invites a postdoctoral researcher to develop radiation testing guidelines for wide-bandgap power electronics, including SiC- and GaN-based devices. The position is full-time and pays €3,700–€4,300 gross per month.

You will review literature on radiation effects, perform testing, draft guidelines (Deliverable D3.2), and, depending on skills, help develop experimental setups and data acquisition/analysis software.

Qualifications

• PhD in a field such as experimental physics or electronics.
• Experience in accelerator-based physics, circuit design, electrical measurements, power electronics, or wide-bandgap materials is advantageous.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.

Responsabilités

• Develop radiation testing guidelines for wide-bandgap power electronics devices.
• Conduct radiation effects testing of WBG components and develop test methodologies.
• Draft application-specific guidelines on test setup and procedures for radiation testing.
• Optionally develop experimental setups and data acquisition/analysis software depending on skills and interests.
