Job summary

Tampere University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to develop deep learning methods for machine and robot perception. The role is funded by Horizon Europe OPERA and will join the Signal Analysis and Machine Intelligence group under Prof. Moncef Gabbouj and collaborate with Prof.

Alexandros Iosifidis’ group. This full-time position runs from 1 November 2026 to 30 September 2030 at Hervanta Campus, Tampere, Finland.

Qualifications

• PhD completed in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Proven expertise in Machine Learning theory and Deep Learning methods.
• Excellent Python programming and DL library experience.

Responsibilities

• Propose and develop novel deep learning methodologies for perception.
• Publish high-quality papers in conferences and journals.
• Collaborate with project partners and integrate methods into the toolbox.
• Lead tasks and participate in project meetings.
