JTA Connection Oy is seeking PLC commissioning engineers to lead hands-on deployment on diverse international projects across manufacturing and shipyard environments. You will join a team handling commissioning, testing, and configuration changes during implementations abroad, with assignments returning home every 4-8 weeks and long periods away.

The role suits travel enthusiasts with solid PLC fundamentals, strong teamwork, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Qualifications

• Prior PLC programming and/or commissioning experience.
• Willingness to travel a lot (~200 travel days/year).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Fluent Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Participate in commissioning, testing and changes during commissioning with the project team (hands-on).
• Coordinate with the broader team to ensure smooth deployment on client sites.
• Support on-site and remote troubleshooting as required.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and reporting for each project.

We offer diverse automation commissioning projects across manufacturing industries and shipyard environments worldwide.

In this role you will work hands-on with modern automation solutions deployment and client projects.

What the job includes?

As a PLC commissioning engineer you participate in commissioning, testing, and changes during commissioning together with the rest of the project team.

Projects are mainly abroad and involve extensive travel.

Essentially the role suits someone who likes travel and is prepared for long assignments.

Assignments usually return home every 4-8 weeks, and periods between foreign trips may be spent on vacation or local projects.

Who is the role for?

You can be an experienced commissioning engineer or at an early stage; the most important is solid fundamentals and a willingness to grow.

We hope you have:

• prior PLC programming and/or commissioning experience
• willingness to travel a lot (~200 travel days/year)
• ability to work under pressure

• fluent Finnish and English

In open projects the tools include Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Codesys.
