Job summary

Frends is expanding its Platform Operations team and seeks a Platform Engineer to help manage and develop Frends eiPaaS tenants and operational environments. Daily duties include provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and automation to ensure reliability.

The role emphasizes collaboration within a core four-member team and close interaction with stakeholders and the R&D group, with hybrid work options in Finland.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of virtualized or cloud infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and proficiency in at least one.
• Containers/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (PowerShell, Bash, Python; ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficient in creating and maintaining technical documentation
• A problem-solving mindset with an ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
• A motivation to learn and develop your skills
• Good communication skills

Want to join the Frends Platform Operations Team?

Frends is growing and as a result, we’re now looking to strengthen our Platform Operations team by hiring a Platform Engineer to work with the FrendseiPaaSproduct organization.

Platform Operations team is responsiblefor the management and development of the Frends operational environments and the Frends eiPaaSTenant life-cycle.

Your daily work tasks include:

• Provisioning, deployment and updating Frends eiPaaSTenants

• Monitoring and ensuring system availability and reliability

• Maintenance and optimization of Platform components

• Incident Management and resolution

• Development of Cloud/Hybrid Infrastructure and Operations

• Development of deployment workflows, tooling and automation

• Development of product packaging and technical documentation

You will become part of a core team of four people, where work will be divided according to each team member’s expertise and interests. In addition to the core team, the work is carried out closely withinternal stakeholders and the Frends R&D team.

We expect:

• Working knowledge of virtualized or cloud infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and a proficiency in at least one.

• Working knowledge of Containers/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Proficiency in some scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible)
