Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Plant HR Manager to deliver on-site HR services, build people-management capability, and drive efficient operations at our Mantsala plant in Finland.

You will partner with plant leadership to deploy global HR strategies, oversee labor relations, implement policies, and support talent development, performance management, payroll administration and employee well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in an international manufacturing/consumer goods/industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation.
• Excellent communication across organisational levels and customer service mindset.
• Previous experience in an HR business-partnering role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP SuccessFactors or equivalent HR system.
• Experience working in unionised environments.
• Fluent in English and Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Being the ambassador of Ball’s culture, driving the right behaviours amongst all plant employees.
• Implementing new regional/global HR policies and harmonizing with current ones.
• Monitoring compliance with regulatory ethical standards and local employee relations laws.
• Providing advice and support to managers in grievance and disciplinary procedures.
• Assisting plant leadership with communicating organisational changes.
• Developing relationships with local universities, colleges, schools and communities as appropriate.
• Driving goal-setting and performance management processes, following up with managers.
• Lead and participate in negotiations with the unions and collective bargaining agreements; address union-related issues such as grievance resolution.
• Assessing talent risk for the site and determining strategies to develop plant succession plans.
• General HR administration and payroll supervision (absence management, offer letters, contracts of employment, changes to terms and conditions).
