Job summary

The Doctoral researcher position is based at LUT University in Lahti, Finland, within the Building Services research group of LUT Civil Engineering. You will contribute to research on real-life building usage and on-demand ventilation control, working with your supervisor and the research group.

The contract starts with a one-year term and may be extended by three years; a six-month trial period applies. The position starts as soon as possible, preferably November 2026, with a hybrid work model

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a relevant field such as HVAC or building automation.
• Strong academic writing and motivation to publish in scientific journals.
• Excellent English, Finnish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research on real-life building usage or on-demand ventilation control.
• Publish peer-reviewed articles and present findings at international conferences.
• Assist in teaching at bachelor and master levels and support research administration.
