The University of Jyväskylä invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher in high-precision mass spectrometry at the IGISOL facility. You will perform high-precision atomic mass and Q-value measurements with the JYFLTRAP Penning-trap and contribute to neutrino-physics studies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in physics or a related field.
• Good command of English.
• Experience or interest in mass spectrometry and ion trapping is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision atomic mass and Q-value measurements with JYFLTRAP Penning-trap mass spectrometer.
• Analyze data and interpret results.
• Present results at international conferences and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Develop and upgrade components related to the JYFLTRAP Penning trap.
• Participate in experiments at the IGISOL facility.
