Job summary

The University of Eastern Finland invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher position (4 years) based at Joensuu campus, beginning by 1 April 2027. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biorefining engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or related field.
• Solid understanding of experimental laboratory work and chemical analysis.
• Ability to travel; strong collaboration, creativity, independence; Finnish language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Enroll in UEF Doctoral Programme and work on dissertation research.
• Prepare study plans and participate in DP‑FOBI training, workshops and summer schools.
• Dissemination and exploitation activities and collaboration with industry and partners.
