The University of Eastern Finland invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher position in the DP-FOBI program. The chosen candidate will conduct cutting‑edge research on forest‑based bioeconomy, focusing on the nutritional and functional aspects of forest resources for food applications and health innovations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in food science and technology, biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, nutrition science, human nutrition, environmental science, forestry or related field.
• MSCA mobility rule: less than 12 months in Finland in the past 3 years.
• Fluent language skills for the Doctoral Programme in Health Sciences at UEF.

Responsabilités

• Conduct dissertation research and complete required doctoral studies, including DP-FOBI training.
• Prepare an individual study plan and career development plan.
• Participate in secondments, research visits and dissemination activities.
• Collaborate with supervisors and DP-FOBI researchers to ensure timely completion of the doctoral degree.
