Job summary

Integrify is seeking Perception Systems Engineers to join one of our client companies building underground equipment for mining and construction. This hybrid role is based in Tampere, Finland.

You will define, analyze, and coordinate system-level requirements for perception and environmental understanding across complex product solutions. You will work on perception architecture, sensor selection, data pipelines, and safe integration to support autonomy and operator assistance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems engineering, perception systems, robotics or automation.
• Hands-on coding experience (e.g., Python).
• Understanding of sensor-based systems (cameras, LiDAR, radar, fusion).
• Ability to work across software, electrical and mechanical domains.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written.

Your role

You will define, analyze, and coordinate system-level requirements and behavior for perception and environmental understanding across complex product solutions. You will work on perception system architecture, robust hardware and sensor selection for mobile machines, data processing pipelines, and best practices for development and deployment. Working at the intersection of sensors, perception software, data processing, and related electrical and mechanical elements, you will ensure these components integrate into a coherent, safe, and functional system that supports autonomy and operator assistance while meeting product and regulatory requirements. This role is hybrid and based in Tampere, Finland.

Core requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, perception systems, robotics, or automation
• Hands-on coding experience (e.g., Python)
• Understanding of sensor-based systems (e.g., cameras, LiDAR, radar, sensor fusion)
• Ability to work across software, electrical, and mechanical domains
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English, spoken and written
• Motivation and eagerness to deepen perception expertise and to guide and educate others

Nice to have

• Understanding of safety-critical or regulated environments
• Understanding of using sensors in tough environments
• Experience defining and managing requirements and interfaces for complex systems
