Job description

People & Culture Specialist

Join Beneq as our People & Culture Specialist and help shape how People & Culture works in a growing technology company. You will be the person managers and employees turn to every day, with clear areas of your own from day one and room to grow.

Beneq designs and manufactures ALD (atomic layer deposition) equipment for semiconductor, research and industrial customers worldwide, with headquarters in Espoo and entities in the US and Japan. We are now strengthening our People & Culture function.

What you will do

Most of the work is in Finland, with support to colleagues in France, the US and Japan.

You own:
  • Hire to retire delivery: contracts, changes and employment documents, onboarding, leaves, offboarding and retirement, with accurate records at every step
  • Working time recording: day-to-day administration of our system Nepton
  • HR data and reporting: employee data in order
  • Employee surveys: run in-house from setup to results and follow-up
You work with managers and the acting Head of people & Culture on:
  • Recruitment: role profiles and job postings, screening and interviewing, candidate communication, offers and pre-employment steps
  • Line manager support: first point of contact for managers’ day-to-day HR questions on working hours, absences, leave and contract changes
  • Employee relations: preparing documentation, keeping records and making sure each process step is followed
  • Employee events and internal communication
What you bring

Above all, you are a doer: you see what needs doing, pick it up and see it through, even when several things land at once. You have a sharp eye for detail, so contracts and data are right the first time. We are a small team that does a lot in-house, so you are comfortable setting things up and running them yourself.

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in HR or People & Culture across the employee lifecycle from hire to retire, including recruitment
  • Working knowledge of Finnish employment law and collective agreements, ideally the Technology Industry agreements, and the judgement to know when to check or or.
  • Strong Excel skills for HR data management and reporting
  • A service mindset towards managers and employees, and discretion with sensitive matters
  • Working proficiency in English
What we offer
  • The chance to shape a People & Culture function as it is built for the next stage
  • A small, close team and daily work with managers across engineering, production, sales and service
  • An international deep-tech company with customers around the world
