Job summary

Keysight Technologies seeks an OTA Solution Software Developer to design and implement automation and end-user software enabling advanced Base Station OTA test solutions and system-level validation workflows.

You will focus on developing test automation frameworks, calibration procedures, GUIs, and performance-logging/analysis tools used in OTA solutions, with hands-on involvement in chamber validation and installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in test automation, instrument control, or RF/wireless test systems is an asset.
• Willingness to perform hands-on tasks in a lab and chamber environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement automated procedures for OTA test execution, chamber calibration, system health checks, and performance verification.
• Develop user-facing applications for test execution, chamber control and KPI logging and analysis.
• Build control software for chamber subsystems (positioners, RF probe arrays, switching matrices, instrumentation).
• Implement automation for MPAC, quiet-zone characterization, and RF performance verification.
• Create APIs and software modules to integrate Keysight instruments and RF components.
• Contribute to solution deployment, documentation, and best-practice procedures.
• Provide technical support for automation workflows and measurement environments.
• Participate in OTA measurement tasks, chamber characterization, and system-level performance validation.
• Support hardware bring-up, integration testing, and troubleshooting across software, RF, and mechanical components.

This position is part of the CSG Protocol CoE Channel Emulation Solutions team, responsible for developing Keysight’s portfolio of channel emulation and modeling solutions for the wireless ecosystem—including cellular, non-terrestrial networks (NTN), and aerospace & defense segments.

The OTA Solution Software Developer designs and implements automation and end-user software enabling advanced Base Station Over-the-Air (OTA) test solutions and system-level validation workflows. The role focuses on developing test automation frameworks, calibration and verification procedures, graphical user interfaces, and performance-logging/analysis tools used in OTA solutions.

In addition to software development, this role includes practical involvement in system-level measurement activities, OTA chamber validation, and chamber installation procedures. This role is about turning system-level requirements into robust, software-driven solutions that integrate reliably with hardware and perform consistently in real measurement environments.

Responsibilities

Software Development for OTA Test Solutions

• Implement automated procedures for OTA test execution, chamber calibration, system health checks, and performance verification.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, RF Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in test automation, instrument control, or RF/wireless test systems is an asset.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, C++, or similar languages used in test and automation systems.
• Familiarity with OTA methodologies (MPAC, PWS, quiet zone characterization) is beneficial.
• Experience with hardware/instrument control APIs (VISA, SCPI, REST) is desired.
• Understanding of RF measurements and signal processing basics is an advantage.
• Experience with data visualization and processing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Plotly, etc.).
• Willingness and ability to perform hands-on tasks in a lab and chamber environment.
