Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting an Electrical Lead to join our Data Centre team in Vaala, Finland. This client-facing role focuses on leading large-scale hyperscale data centre projects across feasibility, design, construction and completion.

You will develop strategies, manage budgets, coordinate clients, contractors and designers, and deliver clear progress reports while influencing industry trends within the Data Centre sector.

Qualifications

• University Degree in an electrical / construction-related field and / or trade qualification.
• Minimum 10-12 years’ work experience in electrical construction, including experience in large scale mission critical projects.
• Track record of delivering the construction of hyperscale Data Centre projects ideally from inception to completion.
• Experience of master planning/strategic estate development and capital project planning for business case compilation is desirable.
• Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles at all levels.
• Good knowledge of construction industry and Data Centre sector themes.
• Good knowledge of project lifecycle and business case approvals process.
• Availability for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing large-scale and complex data centre projects in the real estate sector, from feasibility, design, construction and completion
• Developing and implementing project strategies, plans and large-scale budgets on complex construction projects
• Establishing and maintaining effective processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress and other performance indicators
• Managing and mitigating risks and issues
• Preparing and delivering written project communication materials
• Preparing and presenting formal project progress and other reports
• Managing and coordinating the client, contractors and designers
• Attending and chairing meetings and drafting minutes, etc.
• Developing and delivering presentation materials for client pitches, etc.
• Managing and updating key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database
• Providing thought leadership and insights on the latest trends and innovations in theData Centre real estate sector
